Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 September 2026. This explains what we collect when you use this site or get in touch with us, and the control you have over it.
Who we are
H2OM Technologies (“H2OM,” “we,” “us”) is a health-technology company based in Montréal & Ottawa, Canada. This policy explains what we collect through h2om.bio, why, and the choices you have. We are responsible for the personal information we hold; send any privacy question or request to hello@h2om.bio and it will reach the people who handle it.
What we collect
When you contact us, we collect what you choose to send us: the details you enter in a form on the site, or that you include in an email, such as your name, your email address, your organisation and your message.
When you take the quiz, we collect your answers (how your days, evenings, sleep, energy, drive, stress and recovery usually go, how you use coffee or tea, your age range, whether you are a man or a woman if you choose to say, and anything you write in the optional question) and, only if you choose to give them, your first name and your email address. If you skip them, your answers are kept without them. We use your answers to suggest a cartridge and to decide what to build next; the quiz takes no reading or measurement of any kind.
Automatically, our hosting and our privacy-conscious analytics may record standard technical data such as approximate region, device and browser type, and the pages you view, to keep the site working and understand what resonates. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
We do not assess your health through this site. There is no account to create, nothing to buy, and no reading or measurement of any kind taken here. A quiz profile describes the answers you gave; it is not a finding about your body.
Why we use it
We use your information to respond to you, to evaluate and follow up on business and partnership enquiries, and to operate, secure and improve the site. If you take the quiz and agree to hear from us, we use your details to show you your profile and email it to you, to send you news about OM (including when your cartridge is ready and invitations to early testing), and to understand, across everyone who takes it, which cartridges people want. We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to make any health assessment about you.
Consent
We collect personal information from you only when you give it to us, and we use it for the purpose you gave it for. Where we ask for your consent to contact you, you can withdraw it at any time by replying to any message you receive from us or by writing to hello@h2om.bio. Withdrawing consent won’t affect anything you did before you withdrew it.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the site and handle the messages it sends, such as our hosting, email delivery, analytics and spreadsheet providers, and only under agreements that limit them to processing it on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a corporate transaction (with this policy continuing to apply). We never sell or rent your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep what you send us for as long as we need it to answer you and to follow up on the enquiry, and then for as long as our legal and record-keeping obligations require. We keep quiz answers and contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and no longer than we need them for the purposes above. If you never give us a name or email, your answers are not linked to you. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including Canada’s PIPEDA and Québec’s Law 25, and comparable rights elsewhere), you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw consent, or receive a copy of what we hold. To exercise any of these, email hello@h2om.bio and we’ll respond within the timeframe the law requires.
Security and where information is processed
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect it and to keep our providers accountable. Your information may be stored or processed in Canada, the United States or other countries where our providers operate, so it may leave Québec and Canada. Where information leaves Canada we assess the protection it will receive and put contractual protections in place before it is transferred.
Children
The site is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in their province or state.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes a pre-launch informational site. We will update it as the product and our practices develop, and we expect to replace it with a fuller policy before anything ships, covering the product, the app and anything they measure. We’ll change the “last updated” date above, and for material changes we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know.
