About H2OM

Making the part of your biology that used to need a lab something you can read at home.

H2OM Technologies is a Canadian health-tech company based in Montréal and Ottawa, founded on technology invented and validated at Carleton University. Your health. Read from within.

How it started

H2OM started in the Organic Sensors and Devices Lab at Carleton University, where co-founder Ravi Prakash and his team invented the sensor. In March 2025, co-founder and CEO Stéphane Marceau joined him to take it out of the lab and into the home.

The team

Built by operators and the scientists behind the sensor.

Backed by

An investor and advisor bench that has built this category before.

Our backers have founded, funded and scaled the wearables, sleep and digital-health companies you already know, alongside the institutions that fund Canadian health research.

Where it is headed

From a personal habit to a shared layer of health.

01

Today, on your counter

A ten-second swab beside the toothbrush, twice a day.

02

Next, in the clinic

A doctor could swab during a visit and have the answer before you leave.

03

One day, everywhere

Real-world biochemistry at a scale research and other health tools can build on.

The same core is separately being developed toward reading brain-health markers in a clinical setting, kept on its own regulated medical track with its own trials and approval process. It is not part of the consumer product, which stays wellness-positioned.
